
TERMS OF SERVICE
meowbunnybear is a non-traditional consignor model where artists pay monthly rent and retain 100% of their profits and rights to their works and items. We are acting as pass through transaction for our vendors. We do not buy wholesale nor do any drop-shipping.

Terms "vendor, "artist" and "consignor" are interchangeable.
Vendors and Consignors
Canadian consignors must meet the following criteria:

Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or hold a valid open work permit.

Operate a business that is based in Canada.​

Be of legal working age.
Shelf sharing is not allowed.
Studios or brands with more than one artist are accepted.

Product Rules

Vendors must ensure that they hold all rights and intellectual property for their merchandise. meowbunnybear is not responsible for any infringement of intellectual property rights, nor for the failure to detect or address any such infringement.

Vendors are solely responsible for any claims or disputes related to intellectual property.

All products to be sold must be in saleable condition, and adhering to shop policies.

meowbunnybear does not permit:
-
Stolen or traced artwork.
-
AI-generated products.
-
Political, extreme violence/gore, pornographic, and erotic content​
-
Products sourced through methods such as dropshipping, where items are not designed or created by or for the vendor.
Fanart products are allowed. However, we assume no responsibility for the infringement, and the legal responsibility falls entirely on the vendor of the items.

Consignors's with products that do not comply with the rules will receive a warning notice and will be removed from sale.

Pricing and Service Fee

Vendors are responsible for setting the retail price of their items, including all applicable sales taxes.

We do not charge customers GST/PST as transactions are considered pass-through transactions.

At checkout, meowbunnybear will add a thirteen percent (13%) service fee to the total sale amount. This fee is retained by meowbunnybear from each transaction.

All vendors are responsible for their products to be properly labelled.
Items that are not labelled will not be for sale.
​
Payouts
Payouts will be issued once a month at the beginning of the following month (for sales made from the 1st to the end of the previous month). Vendors will retain 100% of their sales. In cases where vendor funds are on hold, payouts will only be made once the issue is resolved, and will occur at the next scheduled payout date.

Taxes
Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting any applicable sales taxes as required by law. Vendors must ensure compliance with all tax regulations and are accountable for any tax-related issues. meowbunnybear will not be liable for any failure by the vendor to meet tax obligations.

Markdowns
Holiday events and price reductions on consigned items will only occur with the explicit consent of the consignors and will apply to all of the consignors products for the specified time duration.

Liability and Insurance
meowbunnybear holds insurance for the shop in case of emergency damages such as fires and flooding.
Security measures are in place to help prevent cases of theft, however as with all retail spaces, it is a risk and beyond our ability to ensure that it never occurs.​
Vendors are solely responsible for any loss or damage to their goods, displays, or related materials. This responsibility includes any incidents occurring during shipping, handling, or while the items are on meowbunnybear's premises.
Insurance Recommendation
Although not required, it is strongly recommended that vendors obtain their own business insurance. meowbunnybear does not hold ownership of the consignor's merchandise and is not liable for any damage or loss that may occur. Vendors are encouraged to secure adequate insurance to cover their goods and related business operations.

Unclaimed items
Items must be picked up within 30 days after the consignment period ends. If an item remains unclaimed beyond this period, meowbunnybear reserves the right to donate, resell, or dispose of the item at its discretion. It is the consignor’s responsibility to track consignment deadlines and retrieve unsold items on time. No further notice will be provided, and meowbunnybear is not liable for any loss or damages resulting from unclaimed goods.

For non-local consignors: It is your responsibility for the shipping costs of the return. meowbunnybear will pack all items according to the consignor's instructions.
Termination by Vendor
Vendors may terminate their membership by providing notice in accordance with the membership terms.
In order to end your membership with meowbunnybear, you must complete the steps below:

Complete the initial 3-month membership agreement

Contact us at info@meowbunnybear.com and give us a minimum of 30 days notice prior to the requested move-out date

Out-of-town vendors will be required to pay their take down fee respective of their shelf size in addition to any fees for materials and shipping costs.

On the designated move-out date, remove all merchandise and restore the space to its original condition.
Freeze period: membership termination cannot occur during the months of December to February.
Termination by meowbunnybear
meowbunnybear reserves the right to terminate any membership for non-compliance with these Terms or other reasons deemed appropriate by management.
Handling of Goods Upon Termination
Upon termination of membership, if the vendor fails to retrieve their goods within a timeframe established by meowbunnybear, meowbunnybear will have the authority to remove the goods from display. Should the vendor not collect their goods within two weeks following their removal, meowbunnybear reserves the right to dispose of or otherwise manage the goods at its discretion.
Commitment Duration
Memberships require an initial minimum commitment of three (3) months and the amount of one month of their plan as a deposit. (Excluding discovery shelves)
Your deposit will be returned along with your final payout after ending your contract.
After the initial commitment period, memberships will automatically transition to a month-to-month basis unless terminated with a one month notice by either party.

Freeze period: During the months from December to February, we don't allow the ending of your membership.

Shelf and Service Rates
Shelf fees are a monthly rate and varies by shelf type.
Set up fees are a one-time initial cost that is billed together with their first month’s rent. This is an optional service for vendors who are from out of town and would like the shop to set up their shelf display on their behalf.
Custom shelf builds may increase the cost of the setup fee, which would be discussed prior between the shop and vendor.
All rates and services are subject to a a goods and Services Tax (GST) or 5%.

Upgrade or downgrade requests require a 1 month notice. We will evaluate the availability and do our best to accommodate requests.

The price of the rent may be subject to future changes. In the case of an increased rent, it will not affect your current lease cycle.
​
Sub-leasing a spot to another artist is not allowed.

Membership fees
Membership fees are automatically billed on the 15th of each month, and will cover the vendor’s membership for the following month. For the initial fee, the amount will be adjusted to to the duration of the days remaining until the next bill cycle. Subsequent fees will be billed on the 15th of each month.

Invoice Payment Deadline
Failure to make full payment within three (3) days of the billing due date will result in a formal warning. An additional warning will be issued for each subsequent day of non-payment. Accumulation of three (3) warnings may result in immediate termination of the vendor’s membership and removal of their products from meowbunnybear.
Consequences of Membership Termination
Should a vendor’s membership be terminated, the vendor must retrieve their merchandise within seven (7) days of termination. Out of town vendors will be responsible for any shipping costs involved with returning their items. Meowbunnybear reserves the right to retain, dispose of, or otherwise manage the merchandise as it deems appropriate if the vendor fails to respond to corresponce within seven (7) days.
Withholding Funds
All invoices must be paid in full by the end of the vendor’s current membership cycle. Funds will be withheld from vendors with outstanding invoices past the end of their membership cycle until full payment is received.

Renewals
Consignment agreements automatically renew for one month unless either party provides written notice of intent not to renew at least one month prior to the expiration of the current consignment term. Written notice may be sent via email.
Inventory Irresponsibility
We will only email you if your stock is low and your shelf is visibly bare. This should only occur within reason as repeat offenses show that you are not responsible for your own space. Any lateness on your part should be properly communicated
Shop’s responsibilities
meowbunnybear will make reasonable efforts to market, display, and sell consigned items to the best of its ability. This includes in-store placement, promotional efforts, and, if applicable, online listings. However, meowbunnybeardoes not guarantee the sale of any item and retains full discretion over pricing, display arrangements, and marketing strategies. While we strive to provide optimal visibility and sales opportunities, meowbunnybear is not liable for unsold items or specific sales outcomes.

Consignor’s responsibilities
To ensure the success of all parties involved, each consignor is encouraged to actively participate in the marketing of their items. While [Shop Name] will make reasonable efforts to display and promote consigned goods, consignors are expected to support these efforts by promoting their items through their own channels, including social media, email newsletters, and any other relevant platforms. Collaborative marketing will help maximize exposure and sales, benefiting both the consignor and [Shop Name].

Confidentiality and Privacy
meowbunnybear respects the privacy of both our consignors and customers. We do not store or retain any customer information. Consignor identities remain confidential, and we will only use a consignor’s brand name for marketing purposes with their explicit consent. Any personal or business information shared with meowbunnybear will be handled with discretion and will not be disclosed to third parties.

Return and Refund Policy
​All sales are final. meowbunnybear does not accept returns, exchanges, or offer refunds on any consigned items. Customers are encouraged to inspect items carefully before purchasing, as all sales are made on an "as-is" basis. Once a transaction is complete, no exceptions will be made.

Modifications to Terms
meowbunnybear reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated to members, and continued use of meowbunnybear’s services following such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Media Release Consent
The vendor acknowledges and agrees that their products and brand may be featured in promotional materials for the shop, including but not limited to advertisements, social media posts, website content, and other marketing initiatives. The vendor grants the shop the right to use their product images, logos, and branding in these materials for the purpose of promoting the products and the shop’s offerings. This usage will be in accordance with the terms outlined in the contract and with the Vendor’s approval when necessary.
